When Drag Race descends into “Life Is Good” territory, I tend to glaze over. The only beef mentioned was quickly squashed, and, by the end, everybody was happy, everybody got good critiques, and then two people won. No, the “Fame Games” episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race came and went without so much as a lick of drama. These queens sent each other home, they fought, they tussled, they competed, and only some of them were successful. Usually, when they bring the queens back on All Stars, it’s with the pretension that there will be some drama. But her win last week was well-deserved from slaying as a leader and performer in the Draglympics, to knocking her runway look out of the park, it is about time that this Davenport earned her rightful place amongst the top tier of her fellow queens. That was … positive! This episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race seemed to have one rule - good vibes only. Davenport has been performing at a high level for the whole competition, and yet has not won a challenge until now. If this is how the Denver queen performs with a busted ankle, then it only proves further why she is the one to beat this season.įinally! A’Keria C. With yet another strong performance, Brooke Lynn is almost a shoo-in for the finale at this point.Įven when she is physically injured, Yvie Oddly puts in the work! While other queens have had injuries on the show and suffered some dire consequences (hey Eureka), we likely wouldn’t have even noticed Yvie was struggling had she not said anything. The queen gave a solid performance in the challenge, along with serving old Hollywood glamour on the runway. Shuga set a new bar for herself here’s hoping she can continue to clear it.īrooke Lynn Hytes knows exactly how well she’s doing in the competition, and it shows. She delivered - her performance in the Olympics challenge was clean, and her runway look was one of her best yet. We have seen what this stellar queen is capable of, so it’s time that she start displaying that as often as possible.Īfter a close call in her lip sync against Ariel Versace, Shuga Cain pulled out all of the stops to make sure she wasn’t in a similar situation last week. Her runway was good, but a little bit much. Her performance in the challenge was good, but forgettable. If Silky can start to perform on the runway like she does in these challenges, she will surely find herself in the top.Īt this point in the race, Plastique has become somewhat of a question mark. But it’s easy to see why - Silky’s performance in the challenge, while it may have lacked some of the technical precision of her teammates, was extremely entertaining. There is no denying that Silky’s runway look was less-than-stellar, so the queen was lucky that she didn’t have to face the judges’ critiques last week. Iggy Azalea Brings Out Vanessa Vanjie Mateo For 'Sally Walker' Performance On 'Kimmel': Watch Nina certainly didn’t do a “bad” job last week, but at this point in the competition, doing “fine” might as well be the same thing. But her dancing in the challenge was only so-so, and her runway look deserved a Viking funeral. Nina West was praised for “standing out” in the challenge last week, and she deserves it - she sold every moment she was on camera. As the only queen who has lip-synced 3 times thus far, –and who did poorly in the dance challenge - she has a long uphill battle if she wants to have a shot at sticking around. But the fact that there was as much drama over the last elimination as there was only shows the precarious position Ra’Jah finds herself in. Let’s be clear Ra’Jah O’Hara is an extremely talented and fierce queen, and the decision to send home Scarlet Envy was RuPaul’s, not hers.
